About This Website &
Ministry |
|
There are a lot of
web sites out there that discuss spiritual issues and Christianity.
We feel this website distinguishes itself from many others by helping
people to examine and rethink important spiritual issues that are not carefully
examined in most churches or even by many Internet ministries. This site was established for
several important reasons:
PLEASE
NOTE: we have studied God's Bible long and hard but we are still
fallible human beings. Except for direct Bible quotations, everything
else posted on these sites is COMMENTARY.
If you find any
statement on this site which you consider is off-the-wall or misleading
please let us know via our CONTACT

This Christian ministry seeks to
meet 4 major needs in the body of Christ |
-
Discipleship
for new Christians and mature Christians alike
-
Evangelism to people of
all faiths and lack of faith
-
Biblically accurate, high-quality Christian
media distribution
-
Encouragement and instruction in the area
of Christian fellowship

1. Regarding discipleship,
we wish to encourage believers to follow Christ's example of spending quality
time discipling a small group of believers for a significant
amount of time. We believe first and foremost in discipleship by example.
"My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in
deed and in truth." I John 3:18. We also wish to encourage believers to
gather together in each other's homes on a regular basis for fellowship, prayer,
Bible study, breaking of bread, and ministering to one another's needs as was
the practice of the early church, mentioned in Acts 2:42-47.
2. Regarding evangelism,
we have found that many Christian churches today do not evangelize Catholics
(and others) much if at all. We consider this a serious tragedy since it is such
a huge window of opportunity and since there are so many Catholics around us in
America today who are headed for a Christless eternity. We wish to alert both
Catholics and Bible-believing Christians to the vast difference between biblical
Christianity and Roman Catholicism so that many lost Catholics can learn that
eternal life in heaven is obtained only through a personal relationship to Jesus
Christ, not by being a Catholic or by performing religious rituals or good
deeds. We also feel it is very important to share the Gospel on a regular basis
including going out on the streets (the highways and byways of Luke 14:23) to
talk to people about the Lord and to hand-out Gospel literature.
3. Regarding media
distribution,
we wish to share with other Christians various Christian tracts, books, video,
audio materials, newsletters, and magazines from the best and most reliable
Christian ministries across the country including several ministries that
specialize in evangelism to Catholics and in teaching about Christian-like cults
and error in the true Church of Christ.
4. Regarding Christian fellowship,
we believe that true Christian
fellowship is not a matter of going to church once or twice a week, or chatting
online with other Christians, but of
making a commitment to get involved in other Christian's lives. We believe that
true Christian discipleship is even more than a matter of going to a Bible study once a
week. It is a matter of making a commitment to take another Christian
under your wing and nurture them until they are ready to start making disciples
themselves, which should be not be too long after they come to know the Lord.

"Therefore,
my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in
the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in
vain in the Lord."
[1Corinthians 15:58] |

Have YOU read the
Bible? The most published book in all the world? If it is
so highly valued and so widely published, perhaps God really did
inspire the prophets and apostles to write it, so that we might know
the truth about God and His ONE AND ONLY plan of salvation for ALL of mankind.
"Without
faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must
believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that
diligently seek him.: [Hebrews 11:6]. |

"Come and hear, all ye that fear
God, and I will declare what he hath done for my soul."
[Psalms 66:16] |

"And
whosoever will be chief among you, let him be your servant: even as the Son of
man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a
ransom for many." [Matthew 20:27-28]

If you examine most of
what is at our web site you will perhaps know better what we believe
than what your own church leadership believes. |

1. We believe in the doctrines of grace,
meaning we do not believe the "free-will" gospel is the true gospel, but rather
man is spiritually dead and cannot and will not "accept" the true Christ as his
"all in all" until and unless God imparts the new life into him. In this
area we are similar to Reformed Baptists and Reformed (Orthodox) Presbyterians.
2. In regards to the doctrines of grace and
many other doctrines we are in agreement with
Family Radio,
John MacAthur, and
Chapel Library.
There are areas of doctrine in which we disagree with Family Radio, or in
particular with
the teachings
of Harold Camping (Family Radio's president), primarily his "end of the
world" predictions and his "end of the church age" declaration.
It is true that many so-called Christian churches are apostate or at least not
very healthy spiritually and what you can learn here at this website you may
never learn from the average conventional church, unfortunately.
3. We believe that the scriptural pattern for
doing church is to meet in homes in a much more interactive (yet orderly) format
than most conventional churches. We along with other people on the net
(such as the
NT Restoration Foundation) encourage
others to look into house churches and all that goes into them. Home church
meetings are often run similar to Brethren churches to some extent where the men
take turns teaching, whether or not they went to seminary.
4. We strongly believe that all Christians
should be continually involved in making disciples, testing the spirits, and
proving all things in the local church and anywhere they go.
A more specific and detailed list of our
beliefs can be found
HERE.

SIDE NOTE: If you or someone you know is in need
of an organ transplant, my wife and I may be able to refer you to people
who can help in one way or another. My wife is a 3-time kidney
transplant recipient and I have been a kidney donor. We recently
learned a lot about the world of transplants when we were out at
UPMC in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania for my wife's third kidney
transplant. By God's grace, my wife's new kidney is functioning
extremely well although it needs to be tested on a regular basis for the
rest of her life. Ray
