Salvation Is Of God
by James Riscinti

It Seems To Be Of Us
... But It is Really Of God!
|
| "Receive" |
It seems to be of us...
John 1:12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to
become the sons of God, [even] to them that believe on his name:
|
but it is really of God!...
John 3:27 John answered and said, A man can receive nothing, except
it be given him from heaven.
|
| "Believe"
& "Faith" |
It seems to be of us...
Acts 16:31 And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou
shalt be saved, and thy house.
Mark 11:22 And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God.
|
but it is really of God!...
John 6:29 Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God,
that ye believe on him whom he hath sent.
Acts 13:48 And when the Gentiles heard this, they were glad, and
glorified the word of the Lord: and as many as were ordained to eternal
life believed.
Philippians 1:29 For unto you it is given in the behalf of
Christ, not only to believe on him, but also to suffer for his
sake;
|
| "Come" |
It seems to be of us...
John 6:37 All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him
that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out.
|
but it is really of God!...
John 6:44 No man can come to me, except the Father which
hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day.
Psalms 65:4 Blessed [is the man whom] thou choosest, and
causest to approach [unto thee, that] he may dwell in thy courts: we
shall be satisfied with the goodness of thy house, [even] of thy holy
temple.
|
| "Repent" |
It seems to be of us...
2Peter 3:9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men
count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any
should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
|
but it is really of God!...
2Timothy 2:25 In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if
God peradventure will give them repentance to the
acknowledging of the truth;
Acts 5:31 Him hath God exalted with his right hand [to be] a Prince and
a Saviour, for to give repentance to Israel, and forgiveness
of sins.
Romans 3:27,28 Where [is] boasting then? It is excluded. By what law?
of works? Nay: but by the law of faith. Therefore we conclude that a man
is justified by faith without the deeds of the law.
Eph. 2:8,9 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of
yourselves: [it is] the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should
boast.
