"For thou art not a God that hath pleasure in wickedness: neither shall evil dwell with thee. The foolish shall not stand in thy sight: thou hatest all workers of iniquity. Thou shalt destroy them that speak leasing: the LORD will abhor the bloody and deceitful man." [Psalms 5:4-6] To tell God to bless the whole world with no exceptions is to tell God to do something that is against His nature and against His Word in scripture. It is to go against His law, the law of sowing and reaping. If you sow to the wind, you will reap the whirlwind... "For they have sown the wind, and they shall reap the whirlwind" [Hosea 8:7] So we must not ask God to do something that is against His nature, contrary to His will in Scripture, or that would cause us to sin. A final and VERY important point about prayer is that God does not even want to hear your prayers IF you are not saved and if you are not praying to Him for salvation... "He that turneth away his ear from hearing the law, even his prayer shall be abomination." [Proverbs 28:9] People who are saved, born-again, new creatures in Christ are those who always want to hear God's law (His commandments). They want to study the Bible and they want to obey what it says, about everything... about being holy, about sharing the Gospel, about avoiding sin, about worshipping God in spirit and truth, about storing up treasure in heaven - not on earth, about sacrificial living, etc. |
