The following letter was sent to the owner of a website that is devoted to the Catholic saint, St. Jude. What was said is equally relevant to devotion to any other so-called "saint".

Dear Catholic friend,
Out of concern for your spiritual welfare I am letting you know that "devotion" to "St. Jude" or anyone other than Jesus Christ (the REAL Jesus, not the Catholic one) is a sin, a grave sin. It indicates that we are focusing too much on mere men, not on the Redeemer, the Lord Jesus Christ...

1Corinthians 1:12 - "Now this I say, that every one of you saith, I am of Paul; and I of Apollos; and I of Cephas; [I AM OF JUDE] and I of Christ. 13 Is Christ divided? was Paul crucified for you [WAS JUDE CRUCIFIED FOR YOU]? or were ye baptized in the name of Paul [OR JUDE]?"

2 Corinthians 10:17 - "But he that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord" [NOT IN JUDE]

John 3:28 - "Ye yourselves bear me witness, that I said, I am not the Christ, but that I am sent before him. 29 He that hath the bride is the bridegroom: but the friend of the bridegroom, which standeth and heareth him, rejoiceth greatly because of the bridegroom’s voice: this my joy therefore is fulfilled. 30 He must increase, but I must decrease" [CHRIST MUST INCREASE. JUDE AND ALL OTHERS MUST DECREASE].

Galatians 1:10 - "For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ." ARE YOU SEEKING TO PLEASE SAINT JUDE OR CHRIST? EVEN IF SAINT JUDE IS A REAL PERSON AND EVEN IF HE IS IN HEAVEN, HE WOULD NOT WANT THE ATTENTION YOU ARE GIVING TO HIM. HE WOULD BE GRIEVED BY IT AS PETER WAS WITH CORNELIUS AND AS JOHN WAS WITH THE ANGEL IN HEAVEN:

Acts 10:25 - "And as Peter was coming in, Cornelius met him, and fell down at his feet, and worshipped him. 26 But Peter took him up, saying, Stand up; I myself also am a man." EVEN PETER WOULD NOT ALLOW ANYONE TO KNEEL AT HIS FEET AND YET THE POPE NEVER PREVENTS ANYONE FROM KNEELING AT HIS FEET.

Revelation 22:8 - "And I John saw these things, and heard them. And when I had heard and seen, I fell down to worship before the feet of the angel which shewed me these things. 9 Then saith he unto me, See thou do it not: for I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren the prophets, and of them which keep the sayings of this book: worship God." WE ARE NOT EVEN TO KNEEL AT THE FEET OF ANGELS IN HEAVEN! 

ALL ATTENTION, ALL GLORY OUGHT TO BE FOCUSED ON JESUS CHRIST!...

John 1:29 - "The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world."

CAN WE EVER GIVE GOD TOO MUCH ATTENTION, TOO MUCH DEVOTION? DO WE GIVE GOD SO MUCH ATTENTION THAT WE NEED TO STOP AND START GIVING THAT DEVOTION TO MERE MEN?

Luke 16:15 - "And he said unto them, Ye are they which justify yourselves before men; but God knoweth your hearts: for THAT WHICH IS HIGHLY ESTEEMED AMONG MEN IS ABOMINATION IN THE SIGHT OF GOD."

Romans 10:3 - "For they being ignorant of God’s righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God."
