What God Is Saying To The World:

 
(Not a direct Bible quote) This is my beloved Son, the Lord Jesus Christ. He is the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world. He has come to pay for your sins by his death. No other payment for your sins is needed and no other sacrifice for your sins is acceptable, because your sins are many and My standards of righteousness are too high for you to ever achieve. There are no good deeds a person can do that could remove even one sin from their record. Most people don’t realize that even their sinful thoughts will be held against them on Judgment Day. People are so desensitized to sin that they don’t even realize that they are committing sins continually, throughout each day, in thought, word and deed. And as if that was not bad enough, the penalty for your lifetime of sin is far beyond your ability to pay. It is not by your works of righteousness but by God’s mercy that salvation is obtained and entrance into Heaven is granted. And a person is only able to obtain God’s mercy because the sinless Savior – the Lord Jesus Christ – sacrificed His own life as a perfect sacrifice for sin for all those who trust in Him and Him alone for their salvation.
 

What The World Is Saying To God:

 
But we have our idols, our gods and our sacrifices. We don’t need YOUR Son!
 
But we have our prayers, our pilgrimages and our alms for the poor. We don’t need YOUR Son!
 
But we have our science, our wisdom and our self-righteousness. We don’t need YOUR Son!
 
But we have our prophets, our gurus and our anointed leaders to show us the way. We don’t need YOUR Son or His Word!
 
But we have our popes, our penances, our dead saints, and best of all, our Mary goddess. We don’t really need YOUR Son alone!
 
But we have our church membership, our good deeds and our baptism. We believe that your Son needs our assistance and our acceptance!
 

“How shall we escape, if we neglect so great a salvation?” – Hebrews 2:3

 
Friend, don’t even think of telling God that you are a good person or that you think your good deeds outweigh your bad deeds. Even on a good day, God looks at you as a hell-deserving sinner and He views your good deeds as filthy rags, because His standard is perfect righteousness and that is only found in the Lord Jesus Christ. That is precisely why Jesus was the perfect sacrificial Lamb, who alone could pay for anyone’s sins. At this point, you have only two options:
 
1. Spend eternity in Hell paying for your sins yourself. And don’t kid yourself about not being that bad as to deserve Hell. Hell will be full of people who thought they were good enough in and of themselves to merit Heaven.
 
2. Throw yourself at the mercy of God seeking forgiveness of your sins from the Lord Jesus Christ and His perfect sacrifice for sin and for sinners.
 

“Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.” [Isaiah 1:18]
