“The Why Series”

 

 

Why I Use Profanity:

  • Because I am trying to hide the fact that I don’t have much of a vocabulary.
  • Because I want to fit in with other degenerates like myself.
  • Because I saw some foul mouthed stooge on a TV cartoon talk this way and I want to be like him.
  • Because it makes me think that I am an adult when I am still a child mentally.
  • Because my favorite celebrities talk that way and I admire them.
  • Because I want attention and this is the only way I know how to get it.
  • Because I want to let people know how morally bankrupt I am.
  • Because I am getting ready for Hell and that means I can talk like I want.

“Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain; for the Lord will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain.” [Exodus 20:7]
“But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment.” [Matthew 12:36]

 


Why I Drink:

  • Because it makes me feel good, until I wake up with a hangover and dried puke all over myself.
  • Because all my friends drink and I am incapable of choosing better friends.
  • Because there’s nothing else to do after a long week at work for someone with my limited imagination and morally bankrupt set of values.
  • Because it is only other people who drive drunk and kill innocent people.
  • Because it is only other people who die by suffocating in their own vomit.
  • Because I am too selfish to care about how my actions may affect others.
  • Because I am too short sighted and ignorant to figure out that how I live has consequences.
  • Because my life is so empty and without real purpose and drinking helps me forget all that.
  • Because I am getting ready for Hell and that means I can live like I want and do what I want.

“Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.” [1Corinthians 6:9-10]

 


Why I Do Drugs:

  • Because it makes me feel good, and that’s all I care about in life, even if it kills me.
  • Because all my friends do drugs and I am too morally bankrupt to find decent friends.
  • Because I’m hooked and I’m too proud to ask for help out of this horrible addiction.
  • Because it is only other people who kill people and commit suicide on drugs.
  • Because it is only other people who drive under the influence and kill innocent people.
  • Because it is only other people who die of overdoses.
  • Because I am too selfish to care about how my actions may affect others, even the unborn.
  • Because I am too short sighted and ignorant to figure out that how I live has consequences.
  • Because my life is so shallow and selfish and drugs help me forget about that.
  • Because I am getting ready for Hell and that means I can live like I want and do what I want.

Why I Smoke:

  • Because I don’t care about damaging my health right now because I don’t feel sick yet.
  • Because I feel that smoking is a grownup thing to do and I want to feel like I’m grown up.
  • Because many of my friends smoke and I need to feel part of a group even if it means putting myself at the risk of getting cancer or emphysema.
  • Because I don’t care about the harmful effects of smoke on others, even if they are my own children.
  • Because my life is so self-centered that the money I would save by not smoking would only be wasted on something else equally selfish.
  • Because I am unable to admit that it is outrageously stupid to pay for something that is extremely bad for my health.
  • Because I am getting ready for Hell and that means I can treat MY body the way I want.

“What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s.”

Why I Gamble:

  • Because my life is so shallow that I have nothing worthwhile to spend money on.
  • Because a lazy person like me likes the idea of getting money without having to work for it.
  • Because I believe that having more money will somehow improve me and my life.
  • Because I am so preoccupied with myself and getting more material possessions for myself.
  • Because I am a fool who thinks the odds will somehow be in my favor the next time around.
  • Because it is a fun thing to do if you are someone like me who has not learned how to do anything useful or meaningful in their spare time.
  • Because I am getting ready for Hell and that means I can spend MY money any way I want.

Why I Fornicate:

  • Because marriage is “just a piece of paper” to me.
  • Because my idea of commitment is “What’s in it for me?”.
  • Because I’m just a selfish “user” who doesn’t want to be accountable to another person.
  • Because I don’t really respect the other person – their values are just as corrupt as mine.
  • Because everyone else is doing it so that must somehow justify doing something that
    used to be looked upon as shameful years ago.
  • Because I want to set an example for my kids so that they will grow up to have an immoral relationship like I have and be equally proud of it.
  • Because I am getting ready for Hell so I can live like I want and do what I want.

Why I Use Porn:

  • Because I like to do it and I can get away with it.
  • Because I am selfish and only care about satisfying my own lusts.
  • Because I don’t care about dishonoring my spouse or hurting his or her feelings.
  • Because I am really no better morally than the degenerates who produce that filth.
  • Because I am preoccupied with self-gratification just like most people in the world I live in.
  • Because I am so morally bankrupt that I have no concern for the effects of porn on my mind, my body or on my marriage relationship.
  • Because everyone else is doing it so that must somehow justify doing something that used to be looked upon as shameful years ago.
  • Because I am getting ready for Hell and that means I can watch what I want and act like I want.

“Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not commit adultery:But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.”

Why I Lie:

  • Because I am selfish and lying gets me what I want.
  • Because I am insecure about myself and lying makes me feel smart thinking that I can fool people by making up stories.
  • Because I have no regard for trust in a relationship or for other people’s feelings.
  • Because I could care less about God’s commandment to not bear false witness against my neighbor – or others (Exodus 20:16).
  • Because I am ignorant of the Bible’s statement that all LIARS will have their part in the Lake of Fire (Revelation 21:8).
  • Because I am getting ready for Hell and that means I can say whatever I want.

“But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.”
[Revelation 21:8]

 


If you think that the words above are harsh or judgmental, then you have no idea how holy God is, and how mild those words are compared to many assessments of mankind by God in the Bible.

 

Here is just one instance of many, regarding God’s view of our sinfulness:

 
“Behold, the LORD’S hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear:  But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear. For your hands are defiled with blood, and your fingers with iniquity; your lips have spoken lies, your tongue hath muttered perverseness.  None calleth for justice, nor any pleadeth for truth: they trust in vanity, and speak lies; they conceive mischief, and bring forth iniquity.  They hatch cockatrice’ [vipers] eggs, and weave the spider’s web: he that eateth of their eggs dieth, and that which is crushed breaketh out into a viper.  Their webs shall not become garments, neither shall they cover themselves with their works: their works are works of iniquity, and the act of violence is in their hands.  Their feet run to evil, and they make haste to shed innocent blood: their thoughts are thoughts of iniquity; wasting and destruction are in their paths.  The way of peace they know not; and there is no judgment in their goings: they have made them crooked paths: whosoever goeth therein shall not know peace.  Therefore is judgment far from us, neither doth justice overtake us: we wait for light, but behold obscurity; for brightness, but we walk in darkness.  We grope for the wall like the blind, and we grope as if we had no eyes: we stumble at noonday as in the night; we are in desolate places as dead men.  We roar all like bears, and mourn sore like doves: we look for judgment, but there is none; for salvation, but it is far off from us.  For our transgressions are multiplied before thee, and our sins testify against us: for our transgressions are with us; and as for our iniquities, we know them.” [Isaiah 59:1-12]
