How did you treat Your Saviour this past week, the one who suffered and died on account of YOUR sins? How often was He on your mind? How often did you set out to do something that He might be glorified? Do you treat this verse as a cliché or as a vital rule to live by?…
1 Corinthians 10:31 Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God.
Did you stop to hear what He had to say – by reading your Bible? How often?
Psalms 119:159 Consider how I love thy precepts: quicken me, O LORD, according to thy lovingkindness.
Did you show your love by keeping His commandments?
John 14:15 If ye love me, keep my commandments.
Which commandments did you decide were not important enough to keep? Which sins did you determine were not serious enough to forsake? Of those things you did occasionally forsake, did you forsake them joyfully or grudgingly? …
2 Corinthians 9:7 Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.
When are you going to forsake your habitual sins? Only when the Lord chastises you?
Hebrews 12:6 For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth. If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not?
Do you realize that every time you thought evilly or talked unkindly to those around you, you were offending the Lord? Do you realize that every time you neglected to put the welfare of others first, you neglected to put the Lord first?
Matthew 25:45 Then He shall answer them, saying, Truly I say to you, Inasmuch as you did not do it to one of the least of these, you did not do it to Me.
What about next week? What about tomorrow? What about for the rest of this day? What role in your life will the Saviour have? Is He your “all in all”…

Can we neglect the needs of those around us and still be good Christians? Can we neglect communion with God and still be faithful disciples?
