Santa Claus:
A Happy-Go-Lucky God
In case you haven’t noticed, Santa has become far more popular than Jesus around the Christmas holiday. And what else should we expect? This god-like fairy tale character gives gifts to anyone and everyone. While, Jesus, the son of the living God commands everyone everywhere to repent of their sins or else end up being cast into the Lake Of Fire.
But have you noticed that there is a new Jesus among us who is a lot like this imaginary Santa Claus? The new Jesus is just as imaginary as Santa… he loves everyone, regardless of how they live and regardless of whether or not they repent. Unlike the real Jesus who tells his followers to take up their cross and follow him, the new Jesus wants you to be rich and happy. And unlike the real Jesus who said that narrow and difficult is the way to eternal life, this new Jesus does not want you to ever be sick or in pain in this lifetime. The real Jesus was no stranger to suffering while He walked this earth. Why should we expect to live more comfortably than the Son of the living God?
At Christmas time, a baby Jesus arrives on the scene who is very cute and cuddly – and harmless as a little lamb, and no threat to anyone. However, this is just another fake Jesus, and one who bears no resemblance to the Jesus of the Bible who will be pouring out his wrath on those who die in their sins…
“The Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels, In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ: Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power.” [2 Thes 1:7-9]
And for those special folks who just can’t make up their minds about which false god to worship, we present the combination Santa and baby Jesus:
