Your Final Destination

Take a good hard look at this picture. It is a picture of the decay and corruption of death. It is a sign to us from God that He most definitely will have the last word and that in no way will we be able to avoid our appointment with Him.  Death is a sign that sin and rebellion against the Almighty is a most terrible thing.  Sin has consequences and the final consequence is death and then “The Judgment”.

Many people who think that God is pleased with them are in fact headed for hell, as Jesus said in Matthew 7:22-23:

“Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.”

The Holy Bible has much to say about heaven and hell and how you can know which of these two places is YOUR final destination. The reliable and respected King James Version of the Bible will be quoted herein, since it has been used of God for centuries to lead countless souls to heaven.

1. What keeps us from going to heaven?

“Behold, the LORD’S hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear: But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear.” [Isaiah 59:1-2] As Isaiah 59 says, it is sin that keeps us out of the presence of God, preventing us from entering heaven.

2. What is sin?

“All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way” [Isaiah 53:6]. The Bible uses many terms for sin, including iniquity, unrighteoussness, trespasses, violence, wickedness, uncleanness and others. Sin is rebellion against God of any kind, even if we aren’t aware of it: “Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.” [1 John 3:4]

The sin we practice is the violation of God’s laws for any reason, whether ignorantly or maliciously. We continually violate God’s laws from birth and it is our natural tendency to do so. That is why David said: “Behold, I was shapen in iniquity, and in sin did my mother conceive me.” [Psalm 51:5]. Likewise, the apostle Paul said: “For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing” [Romans 7:18]

3. Who takes away sin – God or us?

“The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.” [John 1:29]

Only the sinless saviour, Jesus Christ, acting as a sacrificial lamb, could pay for the sins of sinners. There is nothing at all that you, or anyone else acting on your behalf, can contribute to your salvation because the Bible says: “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast” [Ephesians 2:8-9].

4. Isn’t anyone good enough to get to heaven?

“As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one: There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God. They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one.” [Romans 3:10-12] … “And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually” [Genesis 6:5].

According to God, we are hopelessly lost sinners, totally unfit for heaven and incapable of making ourselves good enough to go there.

5. I believe in God, I go to church, I am a good person, I don’t hurt anyone. Isn’t that enough to get me to heaven?

Committing even one little sin qualifies a person for hell. God is holy and no sin can be allowed in His presence: “And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb’s book of life” [Revelation 21:27].

But the wonderful Good News of the Bible, is that when a person is saved, they receive the righteousness of Christ, so that when God looks at a saved person, He sees them, spiritually, as if they were as sinless as Jesus Christ, and not the vile sinner they used to be: “For he hath made him [Jesus] to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.” [2 Corinthians 5:21].

6. Doesn’t God want or need any help from me?

Salvation is a priceless gift from God that costs the recipient nothing (no sacraments, no prayers, no good deeds, NOTHING!): “For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God” [1 Peter 3:18]. “But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.” [Isaiah 53:5-6].

Christ took upon himself, the full punishment of those he came to save. That punishment consists of the wrath of God: “He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.” [John 3:36]

7. What is the wrath of God?

God’s wrath involves eternal separation from Him without hope, forever – eternity in Hell: “But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death” [Revelation 21:8].

This punishment is not just for what the world considers ‘really bad people’. It applies to whomever dies unsaved – whomever dies without having their sins completely paid for through the atoning blood of Jesus Christ, the Son of God: “He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.” [1 John 5:12].

8. Why would a loving God send me to hell?

God hates sin and the sinner, so the sinner must be punished: “The LORD trieth the righteous: but the wicked and him that loveth violence his soul hateth” [Psalm 11:5]. The penalty for sin is extremely severe because it is proportional to the absolute holiness (purity) of God. The Bible clearly states that God loves the righteous (saved) person and hates the unrighteous (unsaved) person. We saw in 2 Corinthians 5:21 that those who have been saved have the righteousness (purity) of Jesus Christ and therefore the love of God. Jesus said: “I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me.” [John 17:23].

So while God is a God of love (1 John 4:16), He also delights in exercising judgment (Jeremiah 9:24). God’s judgment is absolutely faultless, and He judges according to the standard of the righteousnesss of Christ: “because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by that man [Jesus] whom he hath ordained; whereof he hath given assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead.” [Acts 17:31]

9. What can I do to avoid the wrath of God?

“And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner” [Luke 18:13]. You can’t DO anything to earn or cause salvation from God’s wrath, but you can cry out to God to have mercy on your soul to save you from the wrath that you deserve for your sins. You can’t even honestly do this until God shows you that you are a hopelessly lost condemned sinner: “There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God.” [Romans 3:11].

God saves someone by convicting them of sin and drawing them to Him by the Holy Spirit. Conviction of sin means that God causes a person to feel truly guilty about their sins to the point where they can no longer bear the grief and guilt, not just to the point of wanting to avoid getting caught by someone or to avoid the results of their sin, but to the point where they want God to rescue them from their sinful way of life so they can live a life which will please God. Conviction takes place by hearing the Word of God and through the convicting power of the Holy Spirit: “Faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the word of God” [Romans 10:17] … “Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.” [Romans 3:20].

10. I believe in Jesus so I must be OK, right?

The kind of believing in Jesus that saves a person is not just a historical knowledge of him. One must believe that they need him, personally, to be Lord of their lives for now and throughout eternity and they must believe that he is THE all sufficient substitutionary sin-bearer for themselves: “So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many” [Hebrews 9:28].

In order to believe in Jesus the way that he expects us to, we need him to give us the faith to believe since we cannot truly know God unless and until God reaches out to us which he does through the Holy Spirit and through His word in the Bible. That is why it is so very important to read the Bible asking God to show you the truth about your need for the Saviour, Jesus Christ.

11. How can it be that simple to be saved, just believing in Jesus?

What costs a sinner nothing, cost Jesus Christ tremendous undeserved suffering. The cost of salvation was far greater than any sinner’s ability to pay: “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son [Jesus Christ], that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” [John 3:16]. Because an infinitely holy God paid the price for those he came to save, a person can know that God is satisfied with the payment: “the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.” [1 John 1:7].

Keep in mind, WE ARE NOT SAVED SIMPLY BY RECITING A PRAYER ASKING JESUS TO SAVE US. A supernatural transaction must take place. God must convert the heart in order for a person to be truly saved: “Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven” [Matthew 18:3] … “A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh. And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them.” [Ezekiel 36:26-27]

Have you been converted?

Bear in mind, baptism does not convert a person. Have you received of God a new heart and a desire to obey God’s laws?

12. How can a person know they are saved?

God saves a person, not by taking the old person and making him better through a combination of religious rituals, traditions and guidelines, but by supernaturally imparting a whole new nature into him when the Holy Spirit comes to dwell in him at the moment of salvation: “The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God” [Romans 8:16].

Ask yourself the following questions to see if you bear the fruit and marks of a true Christian:

A. Do I realize that I owe Jesus everything for my salvation – there is nothing I could contribute to it? – “Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us” [Titus 3:5]

B. Has my attitude about sin changed? Do I now hate the sins I used to love and love the things of God I used to hate? – “if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new” [2 Corinthians 5:17]

C. Do I enjoy talking about how Jesus changed my life and saved me from Hell? – “Go home to thy friends, and tell them how great things the Lord hath done for thee” [Mark 5:19]

D. Do I understand that ALL people are lost without Christ and do I show my concern for the souls of others by warning people to flee God’s wrath in hell? – “we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ’s stead, be ye reconciled to God.” [2 Corinthians 5:20]

E. Do people make fun of me or in some other way persecute me for standing up for Jesus Christ? – “all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.” [2 Timothy 3:12]

F. Do I realize that I am here on earth to serve God and to get ready to spend eternity with Him? – “present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God” [Romans 12:1]

G. Do I fellowship with other Bible-believing Christians on a regular basis and do I consider it a matter of necessity for my spiritual health? – “let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works: Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together” [Hebrews 10:24-25]

H. Do I realize that God is very holy and that I must strive to live a life of holiness? “Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.” [1 Peter 1:16].

I. Do I love to read the Bible daily to find out more about God and how He expects me to live? – “I will delight myself in thy statutes: I will not forget thy word.” [Psalm 119:16]

You may wonder ‘How is it possible for anyone to think and act like the kind of Christian described above?’. That’s the whole point! No one is born in this condition. Only God can change a person’s nature which is why Jesus said: “Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.” [John 3:3].

Will You Be In Hell?

definition of hell place of eternal torment and punishment

Have you ever thought about this question: “Will you be in Hell”?

Q. What kind of question is that? Hell isn’t real, is it?

A. Yes, the Bible, God’s own Word, discusses Hell and God’s judgment from beginning to end. In fact, the Bible tells us that most people are headed there.

Let the Scriptures speak:

“The wicked shall be turned into Hell, and all the nations that forget God. [Psalm 9:17]

Jesus said: “And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in Hell.” [Matthew 10:28]

Q. You mean Jesus taught about Hell?

A. Yes. Jesus (God in the flesh) taught more about Hell than any other person quoted in the Bible.

Let the Scriptures speak:

“But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of Hell fire.” [Matthew 5:22]

“And in Hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments” [Luke 16:23]

Q. What is Hell like?

A. Hell is being under God’s anger for our sin, and, eternally, will be more horrible than one can imagine.

Let the Scriptures speak:

1. A place of eternal torment:

“There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth” [Luke 13:28]

“And they gnawed their tongues for pain” [Revelation 16:10]

“And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night” [Revelation 14:11]

2. A place of darkness:

“A land of darkness, as darkness itself; and of the shadow of death, without any order, and where the light is as darkness.” [Job 10:22]

“Then said the King to the servants, Bind him hand and foot, and take him away, and cast him into outer darkness” [Matthew 22:13]

3. A place of fire:

“For a fire is kindled in mine anger, and shall burn unto the lowest Hell” [Deuteronomy 32:22]

“And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.” [Revelation 20:15]

Q. Why should a loving God create a Hell? Isn’t God all merciful and forgiving of man’s weaknesses and failings?

A. Although God is love and has mercy, God is also just and righteous.

Let the Scriptures speak:

“Thou art of purer eyes than to behold evil, and canst not look on iniquity” [Habakkuk 1:13]

[concerning the Lord] …”and by no means clearing the guilty” [Numbers 14:18]

“For such an high priest became us, who is holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners” [Hebrews 7:26]

“Howbeit thou art just in all that is brought upon us; for thou hast done right, but we have done wickedly.” [Nehemiah 9:33]

Q. Aren’t you just trying to scare people?

A. Yes indeed; the Bible, God’s word, is frightening in many, many places, and teaches that only those who fear God, and are humbled by God, can be saved from everlasting Hell.

Let the Scriptures speak:

“The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge” [Proverbs 1:7]

“…but to this man will I look, even to him that is poor and of a contrite spirit, and trembleth at my word.” [Isaiah 66:2]

“Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord” [2 Corinthians 5:11]

“Vengeance belongeth unto me, I will recompense, saith the Lord. And again, The Lord shall judge his people. It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.” [Hebrews 10:30, 31]

“And He humbled you and allowed you to hunger, and then He fed you with manna, which you did not know, neither did your fathers know it, so that He might make you know that man shall not live by bread alone. But every word that comes out of the mouth of the LORD man shall live.” [Deuteronomy 8:3]

Q. When God made Adam and Eve, the first man and woman, He commanded them not to eat of one tree in the Garden of Eden. He told them that if they did, they would die. They were tempted by Satan, the Devil, and did disobey and ate of the fruit of that tree. Did they actually die?

A. Yes, they began to die physically, and immediately died spiritually and morally, and, unless saved, would die the “second death” (eternal damnation) on Judgment Day.

Let the Scriptures speak:

“Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned” [Romans 5:12]

“It is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment.” [Hebrews 9:27]

“And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins.” [Ephesians 2:1]

“Death and Hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.” [Revelation 20:14]

Q. Suppose I am a sinner, but everybody else is, too; and I’ve done a lot of good things in my life. Won’t my good deeds balance out my bad behavior, errors and the mistakes I have made?

A. Not one bit. Our problem with God is not just “bad behavior, errors or mistakes”. All men have broken God’s law repeatedly, and all men are sinners and no good deed that they do can impress God; in fact, even the good deeds we do are actually seen as disobedience (self-righteousness)by God.

Let the Scriptures speak:

1. All people are sinners:

“There is none righteous, no, not one… there is none that doeth good, no, not one… There is no fear of God before their eyes… For all have sinned.” [Romans 3:10-23]

2. Not only do men commit some sins, they are considered utterly wicked by God:

“The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?” [Jeremiah 17:9]

3. God’s says that breaking one of God’s laws means we’ve broken the whole Law.

“For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all.” [James 2:10]

4. All men are sinners from the moment of their conception:

“Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me.” [Psalm 51:5]

5. Our good works are considered wicked by God:

“But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags” [Isaiah 64:6]

6. When the first man Adam sinned, the entire human race was plunged into sin because he represented the whole human race:

“For as in Adam all die” [1 Corinthians 15:22]

7. All men love their sin:

“And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.” [John 3:19]

8. All mankind suffers from three sorts of sins:

“the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.” [1 John 2:16]

(in other words: sexual immorality, love of this world’s possessions and self-centeredness)

9. Just as bad as sexual immorality is spiritual adultery or constant unfaithfulness to God our Maker:

“… for thou hast gone a whoring from thy God.”  [Hosea 9:1]

Q. How can God be just and send all sinners to Hell forever? Some men have never seen a Bible, nor heard about Jesus.

A. God says we are without excuse.

Let the Scriptures speak:

“Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them. For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse.” [Romans 1:19, 20]

Not only so, but Romans chapter 1 continues (beginning in verse 21) to describe sins that have infected the whole human race:

Ungratefulness to God • Worshipping and making idols of created things rather than the One Who created them • Homosexuality • Adultery and fornication (sexual intimacy outside marriage) • Distorting God’s truth into a lie • Wickedness: disobeying the Bible • Desiring another’s goods • Evil intentions • Envy (jealousy) • Lying (deceitfulness) • Murder (including hatred of others) • Contradicting or ignoring God’s word, the Bible • Depravity • Gossiping • Slandering • Hating God • Spitefulness • Pride • Boasting • Corrupt thoughts • Disobedience to parents • Breaking promises • Loving persons and things we should not • Unwillingness to receive God’s counsel • Showing no compassion for others.

Q. What can I do to avoid going to Hell forever?

A. Nothing whatsoever, but God has, in His great mercy and grace, decided to save some from the lost human race, and to take them to be with Him forever in Heaven.

Let the Scriptures speak:

“Thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.” [Matthew 1:21]

“I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.” [John 10:11]

“According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love: Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will.” [Ephesians 1:4, 5]

Q. Now wait just a minute, if God has decided all this already, there’s no point in my getting all upset about going to Hell forever. There’s nothing I can do about it — it’s all decided.

A. No one knows whom God has chosen. If you do not fear God, do not plead with Him to save you; you are simply proving that it is unlikely you are one of God’s elect.

Let the Scriptures speak:

“Therefore hath he mercy on whom he will have mercy, and whom he will he hardeneth. Thou wilt say then unto me, Why doth he yet find fault? For who hath resisted his will? Nay but, O man, who art thou that repliest against God? Shall the thing formed say to him that formed it, Why hast thou made me thus? Hath not the potter power over the clay, of the same lump to make one vessel unto honour, and another unto dishonour? What if God, willing to shew his wrath, and to make his power known, endured with much longsuffering the vessels of wrath fitted to destruction: And that he might make known the riches of his glory on the vessels of mercy, which he had afore prepared unto glory.” [Romans 9:18-23]

Q. Doesn’t the Bible say “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved”? Can I simply believe on Jesus as my personal Savior, choose Christ, decide to follow Jesus?

A. No. There’s not a word in the Bible about accepting Jesus or choosing Jesus. In the Bible God gives many commands to men like: believe, repent or be perfect: commands that man is utterly incapable of obeying in and of himself.

Let the Scriptures speak:

“Be ye therefore perfect” [Matthew 5:48]

“Repent ye: for the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand.” [Matthew 3:2]

Q. Then no one can be saved, isn’t that what you’re really saying?

A. No.

Let the Scriptures speak:

“And he said, The things which are impossible with men are possible with God.” [Luke 18:27]

“That which is highly esteemed among men is abomination in the sight of God.” [Luke 16:15]

Men have invented their own salvation system — in it, they choose God, He does not choose them. It’s a game of Let’s make a deal with God, a 50-50 deal, it’s a Do it yourself salvation. Men want to be God; they insist on making the ultimate decision. They want to accept Jesus as their Savior, they want the make or break decision — they will be the kingmaker. Men want only to trust in themselves to save themselves, to make the final decision. Appearing to seek salvation, mankind has invented a very wicked, totally man-centered, self-centered false gospel of salvation.

Q. Can’t I just have faith in Jesus Christ, and be saved?

A. No, even the devils profess He is the Savior. The only faith that can save one from sin and Hell is Christ’s own faith — His personal property, His personal possession.

Let the Scriptures speak:

“Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified…I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.” [Galatians 2:16, 20]

“And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith.” [Philippians 3:9]

“For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse: as it is written, Cursed is every one that continueth not in all things which are written in the book of the law to do them.” [Galatians 3:10]

“Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree: That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.” [Galatians 3:13, 14]

“And this is the promise that he hath promised us, even eternal life.” 1 John 2:25

The promise of eternal life (salvation) for His people was established in two ways:

1) By Christ becoming sin (2 Co. 5:21) for every Christian and then suffering the punishment of eternal Hell as their substitute. In fact, God the Father had promised God the Son that His (Christ’s) soul would not be left in Hell.

“He [David] seeing this before spake of the resurrection of Christ, that his soul was not left in hell, neither his flesh did see corruption.” Acts 2:31 (See also Psalm 16:10.)

2) By Christ’s perfect obedience in thought, word and deed (Psalm 40:7, 8), Christ fulfilled all the Scripture; and thus He is able to transfer His Righteousness (goodness) to every Believer.

“For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.” [Romans 5:19]

As a gift, Christ gives His own faith to those whom He came to save,

“For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God” [Ephesians 2:8]

Q. Would joining a Christian church and being baptized in water insure my salvation?

A. Absolutely not. These things cannot insure one’s salvation from eternal Hell, nor can they enhance one’s salvation, once God has actually saved someone.

Let the Scriptures speak:

“Howbeit in vain do they worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.” [Mark 7:7]

Whenever possible, a true Christian will join only a church that faithfully teaches all of the Bible, and only the Bible. Whenever possible, he will be baptized in water as an outward sign that God has already done something to him, saved him — giving him a new birth through the life-giving sacrifice of Jesus, the Son of God.

Q. Many people today talk about supernatural healing and miracles, and special heavenly speech called speaking in tongues, do I need to experience these things?

A. Not a bit; these are signs of a false gospel and a great delusion. God gave all supernatural healing, miracles, signs (like tongues) and wonders during Bible times, to prove that those who were speaking for God were precisely from God.

Let the Scriptures speak:

“God… spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son” [Hebrews 1:1, 2]

“How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation; which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed unto us by them that heard him; God also bearing them witness, both with signs and wonders, and with divers miracles, and gifts of the Holy Ghost, according to his own will?” [Hebrews 2:3, 4]

“Truly the signs of an apostle were wrought among you in all patience, in signs, and wonders, and mighty deeds.” [2 Corinthians 12:12]

“Jesus of Nazareth, a man approved of God among you by miracles and wonders and signs, which God did by him in the midst of you” [Acts 2:22]

When God finished writing the Bible, He withdrew these supernatural signs; those who claim to practice them are called false Christs and false prophets in the Bible.

“If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.” [Revelation 22:18, 19]

“There shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.” [Matthew 24:24]

Q. How can Jesus Christ be the only Savior from sin?

A. He was sinless and God from Heaven, and fully a man at the same time.

Let the Scriptures speak:

“And I saw, and bare record that this is the Son of God.” [John 1:34]

“Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under Heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.” [Acts 4:12]

“For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus.” [1 Timothy 2:5]

And the Lord Jesus Christ is coming soon to judge the whole earth.

“…when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from Heaven with his mighty angels, In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ: Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord” [2 Thessalonians 1:7-9]

Q. Can I still beg God to save me from my sin and from eternal Hell?

A. Yes, indeed.

Let the Scriptures speak:

“All that the Father giveth me [Jesus] shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out. No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day.” [John 6:37, 44]

“And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes unto Heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner.” [Luke 18:13]

So will YOU be in Hell?

Generation Z – The Last Generation

I’ve read a lot about Generation X in the papers in the recent past which is apparently a term used to describe the generation of young people who came after the baby-boomer generation. Well I wish to ‘blow the trumpet’ announcing Generation Z, the last generation before our civilization slips into total anarchy. This is the generation of children coming onto the scene who kill other children without any remorse whatsoever. They think its cool to listen to Satanic rock music that glorifies violence and death. They enjoy playing video games where you assassinate your opponent in a bloody martial arts battle. They might even try to kill you if you try to take their music from them or their video games from them. They have no concern for the consequences of their actions. They have no direction in their lives. They are cold and distant and appear to have no concept of love and do not understand why they should have any consideration or respect for others. Here is the formula for Generation Z:

– First, remove the most revered book of all history (the Bible) from public schools, a book that provides the most tried and true set of healthy moral standards known to the human race.

– Second, remove prayer from public schools and act as if it was something evil, to be avoided like the plague.

– Once Biblical standards and influences are removed from schools, redefine what is right and what is wrong through a program of situational ethics, disregarding any concern for the long term consequences of our actions and the affects on those around us.

– Then teach children the value of using condoms and clean IV needles rather than taking them on field trips to cemeteries, prisons, skid row, VD clinics and AIDS hospices to show them the truth about unhealthy lifestyles.

– Pass laws allowing the destruction of children in their mother’s wombs then question why children today don’t seem to have any kind of moral compass to guide them.

– Hold debates about death and dying while people are assisting with the death of the elderly when they could instead be assisting with the love, caring and pain control.

– Spend more money on police when you already have enacted laws that tie the hands of police so that they cannot arrest anyone and cannot use evidence against them.

– Ban guns, which are the most reliable option of defense that citizens have nowadays, when you already know that criminals are capable of killing someone with a ball point pen or a kitchen knife if they really wanted to (more people are murdered and assaulted with knives than with guns).

– Redefine marriage so that even the most perverted in our society can adopt children.

– Demand freedom of expression and ban any kind of censorship to the point where children in your own home are exposed to violence and pornography every day, all day long.

– Vote for leaders who are as blind spiritually and as interested in acquiring money to solve problems as you are.

– Sit down and watch TV in all your spare moments instead of spending time doing something of value to become a positive role model for your family and your community.

– Tell yourself that you and your spouse need to work more to get that newer house, car or appliance instead of sacrificing those material things for quality time with each other and your children. Then tell yourself that you are doing it for the children who spend more time with strangers than with you.

– Talk to your spouse like he or she was your worst enemy, then wonder why your children don’t respect you or each other.

– Spend your Sundays worshipping at the shrine of materialism (stores and malls) then wonder why your children are always asking you for money and material things.

– Believe everything that the secular media feeds you instead of being involved enough in the world around you to know that they usually severely distort the truth.

– Create Gods (and millionaires) out of dysfunctional self-centered people, like most rock stars, movie stars and sports figures who can’t even run their own lives.

– Avoid the God of the Bible at all costs. Spend time thinking and talking about anything else, but avoid any talk about eternity and the meaning of life. Read any book but the Bible.

“There is a generation that curseth their father, and doth not bless their mother. There is a generation that are pure in their own eyes, and yet is not washed from their filthiness. There is a generation, O how lofty are their eyes! and their eyelids are lifted up. There is a generation, whose teeth are as swords, and their jaw teeth as knives, to devour the poor from off the earth, and the needy from among men.” [Proverbs 30:11-14]
