Salvation Is Entirely Of God

“So then it is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that sheweth mercy.” – Romans 9:16

Salvation, from start to finish, is of the Lord. (Jonah 2:9)

We seek Him because He sought us first. (Romans 10:20)
We believe in Him because He gave us faith. (Romans 12:3)
We repent because He granted us repentance. (Acts 11:18)
We love Him because He first loved us. (1 John 4:19)
We hear His voice because He gave us ears to hear. (Deuteronomy 29:4)
We see His truth because He gave us eyes to see. (John 9:25)
We come to Him because He draws us to Himself. (John 12:32)
We choose Him because He first chose us. (John 15:16)
We understand His will because He enabled us to understand. (Matthew 13:11)
We obey His commands because He causes us to obey. (Ezekiel 36:27)

“For we are his workmanship, CREATED in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.” – Ephesians 2:10

“And that ye put on the new man, which after God is CREATED in righteousness and true holiness.” – Ephesians 4:24

There’s nothing that you have, oh Christian man, that you didn’t receive…

“For who maketh thee to differ from another? and what hast thou that thou didst not receive?” – 1 Corinthians 4:7

Therefore…

“…no flesh should glory in his presence… Let he that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord.” – 1 Corinthians 1:29,31
