What Heaven Is Not

 
Many people who are totally UNFIT for heaven, think that heaven will be what THEY want it to be. However, that is far from reality. Heaven will be – and is – what GOD wants it to be. So having said that, Heaven is definitely NOT any of these things:

• A big hunting ground or fishing hole in the sky.
• An eternal shopping spree.
• An endless game of football, baseball, basketball, golf, tennis, etc.
• A bar where you can get drunk for all eternity.
• A drug dispensary where you can get high every day for ever and ever.
• A brothel where you can commit fornication endlessly with impunity.
• A huge restaurant where you can engage in gluttony forever.
• A never-ending party where you can forever satisfy all your lusts.

No, heaven is a place of absolute moral purity, where none of the above lusts and worldly cravings can be found or engaged in. Heaven is ruled and reigned by a thrice-holy God:
 

“And immediately I was in the spirit: and, behold, a throne was set in heaven… And the four beasts had each of them six wings about him; and they were full of eyes within: and they rest not day and night, saying, Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty, which was, and is, and is to come.” Revelation 4:2&8

 
Heaven is referred to as a holy city:
 

“And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.” Revelation 21:2

 
Heaven is a place that NOBODY is fit for, unless and until GOD saves them, giving them a new heart that desires HIM and desires HOLINESS and desires FELLOWSHIP with like-minded children of God. And no, not everyone is a child of God. Only those who love and trust Jesus as their Savior are true children of God. So does THAT include YOU or… are you just one heart-beat away from eternity in Hell, the only destination for those who are unfit for Heaven?— RM Kane
