Where does the Catholic Church teach that Christ’s death is NOT sufficient for any sin?

Where does the Catholic Church teach that Christ’s death is NOT sufficient for any sin?

Does the the Catholic Church teach that Christ’s death is NOT sufficient for any sin? Yes. Do they do it in a blatantly obvious way? No. They do it by IMPLICATION. On the one hand they will make the claim that Jesus died for all our sins, but then on the other hand, they will tell you about all the things (i.e. sacraments) that YOU NEED TO DO to make what Jesus did work for you. This implied insufficiency of Christ’s atoning death can be found in the Catholic Catechism:

2027 No one can merit the initial grace which is at the origin of conversion. Moved by the Holy Spirit, we can merit for ourselves and for others all the graces needed to attain eternal life, as well as necessary temporal goods.

Did you notice the typical Catholic Church double-talk? The CCC paragraphs starts about by saying no one can merit the INITIAL grace… and then they go on to say BUT… “we can merit for ourselves and for others all the graces needed to attain eternal life”. So which is it? Jesus PAID IT ALL or not? Jesus PLUS our merits through performing certain Catholic sacraments? If its Jesus PLUS sacraments, then the Catholic church is saying that Jesus did not DO IT ALL at Calvary. That is why the Catholic Church is a FALSE Church.

True Christians do good works because they ALREADY possess salvation and already are indwelt by the Holy Spirit. So they want to serve God out of thankfulness for Him having SAVED THEM ALREADY! They are bought at a price[1]. They are redeemed[2]. They are NEW Creatures in Christ[3]. They have been translated from darkness to light[4]. They are no longer lost sheep but FOUND sheep[5]. They were spiritually blind but now they see[6] spiritual things they could not see before. They NOW hear the Shepherd’s voice[7] and they recognize that voice every time they read the Scriptures. They are children of God[8], not Catholics. They are Christians, not Catholics. They are brothers and sisters in Christ, not in Catholicism. They don’t need Catholic priests. They have the best and highest Priest, the Lord Jesus Christ[9]. They confess and pray directly to HIM[10]. What Catholics have is a HUGE COUNTERFEIT. And counterfeits are USELESS, serving only to deceive. — RM Kane

Christ Died For The Ungodly

by Horatius Bonar

The divine testimony concerning man is, that he is a sinner. God bears witness against him, not for him; and testifies that "there is none righteous, no, not one"; that there is "none that doeth good"; none "that understandeth"; none that even seeks after God, and, still more, none that loves Him (Psa. 14:1-3; Rom. 3:10-12). God speaks of man kindly, but severely; as one yearning over a lost child, yet as one who will make no terms with sin, and will "by no means clear the guilty." <continued>
