THE LORD WANTS YOU…TO BE A PRAYER WARRIOR!

THE LORD WANTS YOU…TO BE A PRAYER WARRIOR!

How many of us remember that famous recruiting poster from World War II, with Uncle Sam staring fiercely out of the poster, pointing his finger directly at...Who, me?

"I want YOU...for U.S. ARMY"

There was no doubt as to whom Uncle Sam was addressing: if you chanced to glance at the poster, those steely eyes were like twin barrels of M-1 Garand rifles, piercing to the very depths of your… Continue reading

LIFE WITH PAIN

LIFE WITH PAIN

"...Forgive my trespasses as I forgive those who trespass against me..."
People hurt each other, Sometimes without knowing; Some of us are clumsy -- We don't where we're going. We are blessed to get up in time, To do all we need to get done, We're never caught up, we're always behind, Don't make me laugh -- there's no time for fun!
So at times if I seem short-tempered, Won't you please forgive me. I'm doing my… Continue reading

LITTLE TIME FOR THE LORD

LITTLE TIME FOR THE LORD

Sometimes it seems to me, in the greater scheme of things, how little time we have left over for the Lord; The way we live in this world, we know is passing away, acting as if it were our permanent home.
Just how many hours were You held fast on that cross, unspeakably tortured as You were for me, that I should allocate such haphazard intervals to carry on a meaningful conversation with You?

LORD, I DON’T KNOW HOW…

LORD, I DON’T KNOW HOW…

Lord, I don’t know how To love You like I should,
After everything You’ve done for me.

Lord, I don’t know who else Would have gone that far for me,
What You Yourself endured upon that tree.

Lord, the unthinkable agonies,
As You were hanging from that cross,
What a price You had to pay to set me free!

How do I show my appreciation,
And demonstrate my thankfulness,
For what… Continue reading

Eventually

Eventually

by James Riscinti

Inevitably infirmity are common to all.

For some they are big, for others they’re small.

Illness, malady, sickness, disease,

as our life progressives, this decline won’t cease.

Whether mind or in body, ther’re quite interlaced,

these are conditions that everyone will face.

To some we contribute, some just arrive,

nevertheless, none will survive.

For soon come our end, just as our friends,

gone to a place, eternal to spend.

Christ Died For The Ungodly

by Horatius Bonar

The divine testimony concerning man is, that he is a sinner. God bears witness against him, not for him; and testifies that "there is none righteous, no, not one"; that there is "none that doeth good"; none "that understandeth"; none that even seeks after God, and, still more, none that loves Him (Psa. 14:1-3; Rom. 3:10-12). God speaks of man kindly, but severely; as one yearning over a lost child, yet as one who will make no terms with sin, and will "by no means clear the guilty." <continued>
