Qualifications For Soul Winning – Towards God

 

1. Holiness of character. If you are not yourself holy, no souls will be saved.

2. You must have a spiritual life to a high degree.

3. A humble spirit.

4. A living faith.

5. You must believe that God has called you to preach the Gospel, and that you will do it with confidence and courage.

6. You must believe the message you deliver is God’s word.

7. You must believe in the power of the message to save people.

8. You must preach earnestly and with life.

9. Simplicity of heart, doing it for God’s glory and the winning of souls.

10. Complete surrender of yourself to God – you want God’s thoughts and to preach God’s words.

 

Qualifications For Soul Winning – Towards Man

 

1. Evident sincerity.

2. Evident earnestness. You need to be red hot. Even if folk say you are too enthusiastic or too fanatical. We need to tell of an earnest Saviour, an earnest Heaven and an earnest Hell.

3. An evident love to your hearers.

4. Evident unselfishness.

5. Holiness of character.

6. Seriousness of manner.

7. Tenderness of heart.

 

“Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.  For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure. Do all things without murmurings and disputings: That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world.
