The Resurrection That The Catholic Church Secretly Celebrates

The Resurrection Of Pagan Deities As Catholic Saints

Catholic Church resurrections

Unknown to Catholics, their entire religious system is modeled after a whole host of pagan gods and goddesses that have been renamed – given the names of Christians.

Here is a sampling of the major pagan deities that are now found in the Catholic Church:

  • The god Tammuz has been renamed baby Jesus
  • The goddess Semiramis has been renamed the virgin Mary
  • The gods Zeus and Jupiter are now known as the apostle Peter

Now let’s look at the attributes of the above mentioned pagan deities and see how they compare with the attributes of the corresponding Catholic personages.

  • The god Tammuz was resurrected from the dead, as Jesus was.
  • The goddess Semiramis was worshipped as the Queen of Heaven as is the Catholic Mary
  • The gods Zeus and Jupiter are now known as the apostle Peter

What else did the ancient pagan deity worshipers have in common with Catholics? They loved their statues, their graven images of their objects of worship. True Christians have no need of statues. That is because they have the Holy Spirit indwelling them and continually reminding them of their adoption into God’s family. Also, true Christians know that it is a sin to make, own and bow down before such graven images:

“Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth. Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the Lord thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me;” – Exodus 20:4-5

Christ Died For The Ungodly

by Horatius Bonar

The divine testimony concerning man is, that he is a sinner. God bears witness against him, not for him; and testifies that "there is none righteous, no, not one"; that there is "none that doeth good"; none "that understandeth"; none that even seeks after God, and, still more, none that loves Him (Psa. 14:1-3; Rom. 3:10-12). God speaks of man kindly, but severely; as one yearning over a lost child, yet as one who will make no terms with sin, and will "by no means clear the guilty." <continued>
