A Gospel Letter For Friends And Family

 
 
Dear ____________,
I know you have told me that you don’t believe like I believe, but hell is full of people who used to say that, and who now believe exactly what I believe about God, heaven and hell. Only for them it is eternally too late to repent and ask Jesus to save them. I HIGHLY recommend that you read the enclosed leaflet (Does God Love You?) if you care about where you will spend eternity. God does not compare us to others or count our good deeds when we get to heaven, but rather His standard of righteousness for entering heaven is sinless PERFECTION which only His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ was able to achieve and THAT is EXACTLY why Jesus was the ONLY ACCEPTABLE sacrifice (or scapegoat) for our sins. Seriously, do you really think that God sent His only begotten Son to die such a horrible death of crucifixion because you were good enough to get to heaven on your own merits? We all owe God a debt we can never repay. The truth is, according to God’ standard of sinless perfection, we all fall far short of God’s standard for entering heaven. In fact, God is so holy, that even just one sin is enough to qualify any of us for eternal separation from God in Hell, myself included. And I am no better than anyone else. I am as much of a hell-deserving sinner as anyone else, and maybe more so than some folks.
 
Without true salvation from the Lord Jesus Christ we are all just one heartbeat away from death and from eternity in hell, so please don’t wait until it is too late to do anything about your salvation. I highly recommend reading the enclosed leaflet and also do what I did back in 1985 when God saved my soul… I got a Bible and started reading it. I started at the end (the book of Revelation) “to see how things end up” – and what I read there really got my attention and opened my eyes to where I was headed as a lost sinner, a lost Catholic sinner. I learned that Catholicism wasn’t going to save my soul, nor was going to church or being religious or “trying to be good” according to my own opinion of “good”. I truth, I needed to turn my life over to Jesus. When I asked Jesus to save my soul, He surely did and I then experienced what it means to be “born again”. It is a supernatural spiritual birth, that no one truly understands until and unless they experience it. And when it happens, their eyes open to these spiritual things and they then have a God-given desire to warn others about hell and about the only remedy… salvation in and through the Lord Jesus Christ. That is HOW I know I have experienced the “new birth” Jesus spoke of in John chapter 3:
 
“Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.” John 3:3. I can now SEE the kingdom of God… that is, I can now see which other people on earth are true Christians, by what they think about Jesus, salvation and the Bible, namely people I used to think were just “Jesus freaks” – a derogatory label used by many lost sinners of the world.
 
Lastly, heaven is not some great playground or partying place in the sky. It is a place of absolute moral purity where true followers of Christ will be worshipping the Lord Jesus who saved them in this lifetime, as a show of thanks for what He did for them on the cross at Calvary.
 
“And he saith unto me, Write, Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb.” Revelation 19:9
 
Do YOU want to be at the wedding banquet for Jesus in heaven? Do you even think about that? God’s people on earth think about that and… we also think about people like you who are not yet ready for heaven, and we therefore warn you with messages like this… because heaven is by invitation only. This is one of perhaps many invitations and warnings you have received in your lifetime. Please heed these warnings so that you will become truly saved by God and will have the same burden for the souls of others, that I have for you and others. I am so thankful that I got saved by God so long ago so that I have had many years to serve the Lord and warn friends and family and many others to seek the Lord while they still have time… So in closing I will quote from the Bible:
 
“Seek ye the Lord while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near” Isaiah 55:6
 
Here is a brief description of Christian evangelism from the New Testament, pointing out how heaven is by invitation from God’s children (his messengers) sharing a message like this that you are receiving today:
 
“And Jesus answered and spake unto them again by parables, and said, The kingdom of heaven is like unto a certain king, which made a marriage for his son, And sent forth his servants to call them that were bidden to the wedding: and they would not come. Again, he sent forth other servants, saying, Tell them which are bidden, Behold, I have prepared my dinner: my oxen and my fatlings are killed, and all things are ready: come unto the marriage. But they made light of it, and went their ways, one to his farm, another to his merchandise: And the remnant took his servants, and entreated them spitefully, and slew them. But when the king heard thereof, he was wroth [furious]: and he sent forth his armies, and destroyed those murderers, and burned up their city. Then saith he to his servants, The wedding is ready, but they which were bidden were not worthy. Go ye therefore into the highways, and as many as ye shall find, bid to the marriage. So those servants went out into the highways, and gathered together all as many as they found, both bad and good: and the wedding was furnished with guests.” Matthew 22:1-10
 
So please don’t wait until you’re in a coma on your death bed to accept YOUR invitation to heaven. And instead of getting upset with my concern for your soul, ask yourself why you would get upset about someone inviting you to heaven so you don’t have to spend eternity regretting the day that you were born.
